Israel Wine Tasting
|
Texans for Israel will be presenting wines from Psagot Boutique Winery, out of Israel. Most Texans have never tasted or experienced true kosher Israeli wine, and Texans for Israel would like to bring an authentic, and unique experience to communities all over Texas. In celebrating the wine of Israel, you will also be supporting the land of Judea and Samaria. The first few wine tastings will be exclusively Psagot Boutique wine from this winery in Israel. There will be several different options, such as Cabernets, Red Wines, and Merlot at the tastings. Texans for Israel is also planning to have a guest speaker from the Psagot Boutique Winery in Israel come to the tastings, with more great information and stories from Israel.
These wine tastings will be used to support an Israeli winery, and also give Texans an opportunity to celebrate the vision of prophets coming true: “The days are coming,” declared the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land have given them,” says the Lord your God. -Amos 9:13-15 For over 2,000 years Israel has waited for God's chosen people to come back home, and they have finally arrived. Jewish settlements are becoming renewed to a glorious past. The Psagot Boutique Winery is located in the heart of Israel, nestling in an ancient Biblical landscape. The winery sits high on a mountain ridge between Jerusalem and Shilo, overlooking the Edomite Mountains and the Perat Stream. Psagot Winery now produces 80,000 bottles of wine a year, and is exported to countries all over the world. The vineyards of Psagot are planted directly into limestone, above sea level, and are never watered artificially. They are nourished from the natural moisture in the earth which contributes to the rare quality of the Psagot wine. The winery has developed a great reputation over the years, and constantly wins prestigious international awards.
